Moscow, Apr 21 (Sputnik): Bodies of 15 people who died when a boat capsized in the east of Congo have been found off the coast of neighboring Rwanda, Chinese media reported on Sunday, citing the Rwandan authorities.

The boat capsized on Monday night in Lake Kivu in Congo's South Kivu province. Some people remain missing.

The bodies of 13 women, a man and a child were detected off the coast of Rwanda on Friday night, the Xinhua news agency specified.

The Rwandan authorities immediately notified Congolese officials and passed the recovered bodies to them on Saturday.

The authorities of Rwanda's Rubavu district have called on locals to avoid fishing and swimming in the area where the bodies were found, until further notice.

While the Congolese authorities have said that 150 people are missing, and 30 people have been saved, the exact number of the victims remains unknown.

The Congolese authorities said on Thursday that at least 104 people had been killed, but media reports, citing the country's Interior Ministry, emerged on Saturday that 40 people had been killed.
