Montreal/IBNS: Air Canada on Thursday unveiled a special aircraft livery celebrating Canadian athletes ahead of the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.

The design, featured on an Airbus A330 (Fin 940), showcases Team Air Canada Athlete Ambassadors and symbolises the strength, determination and national pride of Team Canada.

The aircraft was scheduled to operate its first flight as AC894 to Milan on Thursday.

As the Official Airline of Team Canada, Air Canada will transport more than 750 athletes and delegation members to and from the Games.

The airline’s employee-led Going for Gold programme supports Team Canada by ensuring a seamless travel experience for athletes.

“This special livery is more than a design—it’s a tribute to the strength, resilience and heart of the athletes representing Team Canada,” said Andy Shibata, Vice President, Brand at Air Canada.

“Bringing Canada’s Olympians and Paralympians to compete on the world’s greatest sporting stage is a point of pride for all of us at Air Canada.”

Jacqueline Ryan, Chief Brand and Commercial Officer of the Canadian Olympic Committee and CEO of the Canadian Olympic Foundation, said the design “emphasises the strength and soaring ambitions of Canadian athletes” and will help unite Canadians ahead of the Games.

Karen O’Neill, CEO of the Canadian Paralympic Committee, said, “It is exciting to see Canada's Paralympic and Olympic athletes celebrated with this new livery, and it definitely makes the Games feel even closer,” she said.
