Bengaluru, Sept 7 (IBNS): VFS Global has announced the launch of a visa application centre for Vietnam in Bengaluru.

Karnataka is the fourth southern state from where this service can now be accessed.

Announcing the introduction of this service with VFS Global,  Tran Quang Tuyen, Minister – Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of the S.R. of Vietnam to India, said, “Vietnam and India share a huge potential in tourism, trade and investment along with the well-established and traditional friendship. Provide easier access to visa application, with minor cost and less consuming time is one of the priorities of the Embassy in 2015. This year, Vietnam visa facilitation centres have been established in several states of India, such as West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Punjab and Haryana. Through the Vietnam visa facilitation centre in Bangalore, Indian citizens from Karnataka can easily apply for visa to Vietnam. We hope all these measures will contribute to enhance the multifaceted cooperation between our two countries and encourage Indian tourists to visit our beautiful country."

Vinay Malhotra, COO – South Asia, VFS Global,  said, “It is an honour for us to extend our services in Bengaluru to the Government of Vietnam in India. We are committed to provide professional and convenient services to our customers in this region, and I am delighted VFS Global is able to offer visitors to Vietnam a modern and centrally-located centre. The opening of more such facilities in the southern states serves the needs of the growing travel trade from this region and we will continue to work together to deliver professional end-to-end services for our clients.”

All applications will continue to be assessed and processed by the Embassy of Vietnam in New Delhi.
