The Westin Kolkata Rajarhat launches highest roof top lounge in Kolkata

Kolkata: Giving a treat to the people of the eastern city, the highest rooftop lounge, 31/32, in Kolkata has recently been launched by The Westin Kolkata Rajarhat.

This new rooftop lounge can accommodate 170 guests and offers scrumptious food and beverages; it also earns another feather in its cap by dint of its elegant décor, curated culinary, exciting signature cocktails and specialized dishes for the seasoned palate. 

The lounge seating is white, low and sculptural. A passionate red VIP area offers close encounters with a more retro ambiance. Large wine cabinets flank the entrance to the VIP lounge, with its 2 large red cocoon booths.

The journey of 32nd floor starts with a dramatic sculptural staircase that leads up to the roof terrace adorned with sculptural gaze boson a raised platform, overlooking the city. A feature wall with 3D effects creates the backdrop for a portable bar and a drink rail along the glass railing. This happy space is also equipped to accommodate larger groups of
guests for weddings, corporate bookings and private parties through its access to the striking Helipad Lounge.

The open air space is the location for the sunset view in the evening setting the tone for the night.

The bar is home to heritage and new world wines with a collection of Italian aperitifs Campari, Martini, Classic cocktails, premium whisky and beers. A wide selection of local as well as Italian, Australian, French and American wines are also on offer.

The menu has been curated by Chef Vikas Prasad, Executive Chef at The Westin Kolkata Rajarhat, Some of the hot- sellers include the ‘Barbeque Chicken Wings’, ‘Spiced Edamame Garlic Butter’, ‘Gambas Al Ajilo’, ‘Kosha Lamb and Charcoal Bun’ ‘Keema Bites’, ‘Mumbai Maska’ and selection of fries. Diners with the sweet tooth can end their meal with some mouth-watering desserts like ‘Nutty Chocolate Rocher’, ‘Nolengur Cheese Cake’ and ‘Hazelnut Crunchy Milk Chocolate Tart’.

The expertise behind the bar will be concocting seasonal and heady cocktails with tantalizing new flavors and textures. Some of the signature cocktails in the menu will be, ‘Imli Sour’, ‘Black Gold’, ‘Spiced Pinarita, ‘The Bitter Truth’ ‘Bloody Maria’ ‘The Prohibition Era’ that will take your palate through the different invigorating senses.

Renowned DJ Harish Lakhmani has been signed up to spin his popular wide-ranging repertoire of Retro, Hip-Hop, House, R&B to the best of cutting-edge remixes at the turntable to create the perfect party ambience and make this a must-visit venue.
