Don’t marry your girl child in minor age, appeals CM Raghubar Das in Godda

Godda (Jharkhand), Sep 23 (ANI): The Chief Minister of Jharkhand, Raghubar Das on September 22, attended ‘Johar Jan Ashirwad Yatra’ roadshow in Godda. The ‘Johar Jan Ashirwad Yatra’ will travel through all the legislative assemblies of Jharkhand in three phases. While addressing the roadshow, Das Said, “I appeal to the people of Godda that don’t marry your girl child in the minor age. It is not the responsibility of government only, but also the responsibility of the people.”

Wanted criminals arrested by Dwarka police

New Delhi, 23 september,(ANI): A team of special staff of Dwarka District Police arrested three desperate criminals, after a fierce encounter.  Arrested criminals were wanted in several extortion cases in the area and had also twice fired in a departmental store in Najafgarh to scare the owners to cough up extortion money. A Special Staff police team was constituted to solve the incident. The team got the information that desperate criminals would come to Najafgarh’s Kair- Mitraon road, to attack some businessman for extortion. The team swung into action and laid a trap on Kair – Mitraon road. Criminals were spotted on a motorcycle and police was asked to stop but they tried to flee. When chased, their bike fell due to collision. The criminals were asked to surrender but they opened fire upon the police team. After brief exchange of fire, the team succeeded in arresting all the three criminals. One criminal sustained a bullet injury on his leg. Meanwhile, police team overpowered the criminals and snatched the weapons from them. Further investigation is underway.

Phase 1-B of Jaipur Metro should complete early: CM Gehlot

Jaipur (Rajasthan), September 23 (ANI): Construction of phase one-B of Jaipur Metro from Chandpol to Badi Chaupad should be completed soon. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot instructed the same in the review meeting organized at Chief Minister’s office in Jaipur. In the meeting, CM Gehlot directed the officers to make  efforts for upcoming phase and expansion of the Jaipur Metro. This will help to control the increasing traffic pressure in Jaipur and improved public transport would be available to the people. Chief Minister said, “Our previous government has given a gift of Metro as a new mode of transport to the people of Jaipur from Mansarovar to Chandpol by completing the Phase-A in record time. For us, it is a matter of pride as Jaipur was the only leading tier-two city in the country where a state government has started Metro service with its own resources”.0020During the meeting, the Chief Minister also saw the detailed presentation of Phase-II of Metro between Sitapura to Ambabari. 

Pakistani Christians hold protest march in Geneva against forced conversion, blasphemy law

Geneva (Switzerland), Sep 21 (ANI): A large number of Pakistani Christians from parts of Europe, including women and children, held a protest march in Geneva to demand equal rights in Pakistan. They strongly raised voice against the blasphemy law, forced conversion of Christian and Hindu girls and lack of education. Holding banners demanding “Stop human rights violations against Christians in Pakistan” and “Abolish Blasphemy Laws in Pakistan”, they started protest march from Palais Wilson, the headquarters of the Office of the United Nations High Commission for Human Rights, and concluded it at Broken Chair, in front of the UN office in Geneva. The protesters were later joined from Member of European Parliament and other human rights defenders. Dr Robinson Asghar, a Pakistani Christian leader said, “Be it Christian persecution in Pakistan or any kind of persecution anywhere in the world, we condemn that. The main reason of persecution is blasphemy laws which are misused in Pakistan and the misuse of laws has naturally been great concern for all Pakistanis and we are here to protest against that.” The women protesters from the Christian community also participated in large number. Many believe that Christian girls are facing challenges because of illiteracy. 

NMCG organizes cleanliness drive at Kalindi Kunj Ghat

New Delhi, Sep 21 (ANI): A massive cleaning drive is being carried out by the National Mission for Clean Ganga under its Namami Gange program to reinstate River Ganga’s cleanliness and purity. To preserve the holy river, the NMCG has been regularly conducting cleaning exercise for Ganga and its tributaries. A cleaning exercise was conducted at Kalindi Kunj ghat in New Delhi on September 21. The government’s endeavour has been to connect more people with its flagship project of Namami Gange.  NMCG’s Director General Rajiv Ranjan Mishra said that citizens should actively and responsibly participate in keeping the rivers clean. As India is set to bid final goodbye to single use plastics on 2nd October, the NMCG also plans to carry out extensive river cleaning drive at Yamuna River in New Delhi on the same day to create mass awareness about Namami Gange project among the residents of New Delhi and around. The participants in the program will be cleaning Ghats of Yamuna in New Delhi. Cleaning tributaries of Ganga is crucial for complete wash out of pollutants from river Ganga. India’s holy river Ganga traverses a course of more than 2,500 km through the plains of north and eastern India.It is joined by Ramganga, Gomti, Ghaghara, Gandak, Kosi and Mahananda from left bank and Yamuna, Tamsa, Son and Punpun from right bank.

Nepalese man’s murder mystery solved by Delhi Police, live-in-partner confesses killing

New Delhi: ANI, (September 21)  Delhi Police has solved the murder mystery of Nepalese man, Sunil, who was found dead in his house in Amar Colony, and arrested three persons Anita, Bijay Chhetri and Rajender Chhetri in connection with it. Anita is the live-in-partner of Sunil, and according to police, she confessed that she planned his murder with the help of her brother Bijay and relative Rajender. Police added that Anita, during the interrogation, disclosed that despite her relationship going sour with Sunil, the latter was not ready to live her, and she planned Sunil’s murder to get rid of him. According to the plan, both Bijay and Rajender arrived at Sunil’s house and stayed there for night. In the night when Sunil was asleep, both Bijay and Rajender woke up and killed him with the help of chopping knife. 

Jharkhand CM Raghubar Das urges people of Pakur to educate their children

Pakur (Jharkhand), Sep 21 (ANI): Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das on September 21 attended a public rally in Pakur. While addressing the gathering he urged people of Pakur to educate their children and send them to school. He emphasised that if people want to improve and uplift their lives then they should educate children.

Pakur (Jharkhand), Sep 21 (ANI): Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das on September 21 attended a public rally in Pakur. While addressing the gathering he aware the residents of Pakur about the various State-run social schemes. He explained various schemes like ‘PTG Dakia Yojana,’ under which employees of Food and Civil Supplies Department would deliver a packet of 35 kg at the doorstep of these families every month. He also informed people that state government is working to provide electricity in every house even its on mountains.  CM Das also assured people that within two months people who are living in mountain areas will get water supply.  Jharkhand government is working continuously to provide every facility the people of the state. 

Nepal issues record number of permits to mountaineers for climbing Mt Manaslu

Kathmandu (Nepal), Sep 20 (ANI): Nepal's Department of Tourism (DoT) has issued permits to 260 mountaineers to climb the Mount Manaslu this autumn. The DoT deals with the issuance of permits for mountaineering. There are 26 teams who have been given permits to climb the mountain this season. The number of the climbers has clearly increased by a quarter and is sure to rise further as climbers are still applying for permits to climb various mountains across Nepal, including Mt Manaslu this season. In the spring season, the Himalayan country witnessed the death of 11 climbers while climbing Mt Everest alone, which was an apparent result of issuing a high number of permits. Mt Manaslu, with an elevation of 8,156 meters, is considered to be the eighth highest mountain in the world. It is also known as the 'Killer mountain of Nepal' having a record number of deaths.

30 lakh houses provided with electricity in 5 years in Jharkhand: CM Das

Pakur (Jharkhand), Sep 20 (ANI): Jharkhand Chief Minister Ragubar Das claimed that the Government has provided electricity to 30 lakh houses in the state in just five years. "The only way to end poverty is education and electricity is must for education, we have electrified 30 lakh houses in last five years due to double engine Government in Jharkhand and Centre," said CM Das in Jharkhand's Pakur. CM Das is on Jan Ashirwad Yatra ahead of assembly elections in Jharkhand.

Dumka (Jharkhand), September 20 (ANI): Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das in Dumka on September 20 took jibe at opposition parties, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha and Congress over vote bank politics and said, “The way JMM made tribals their vote bank and deceived with people in the same thing Congress did with Muslims.” “That is the reason we believe in ‘Sabka Sath aur Sabka Vishwas’,” he added. CM Das is on Jan Ashirwad Yatra ahead of assembly elections in Jharkhand.

People in Gilgit deprived of compensation for their land since 1949 protest against Islamabad

Gilgit Baltistan, 06 AUGUST, 2019:- These people who recently took to the streets of Gilgit are demanding their share of compensation which they have been denied since 1949 by successive governments of Pakistan. The government has not been able to provide compensation for the land, property, and resources that were acquired in the name of the development, decades ago. Protesters say that their ancestors became homeless overnight after the acquisition drive was started by Pakistan in the aftermath of its illegal occupation of the territory. The people who were unaware of ill-intent of Islamabad supported the decision and vacated their homes voluntarily and inflicted pain and suffering upon themselves. However, Pakistan which never considered them its own did not pay them even the market price of the land.

Table Tennis player Sharath Kamal was voted the Sportsperson of the Year in the annual Indian Oil Sports Conclave.
