Two dead as cyclone Vardah hits Tamil Nadu

Chennai, Dec 12 (IBNS) : Two people have died as Cyclone Vardah has hit close to Chennai,triggering rain and high waves that has inundated many areas with a high velocity wind uprooting many trees and structures, reports said.

New Delhi, Dec 9 (IBNS): The Union Ministry of Earth said on Friday morning that cyclonic storm, VARDAH, over southeast Bay of Bengal moved north-northwestwards with a speed of 10 kmph during past six hrs and slightly intensified further.
