1913 of 2018 horn examined in Assam

Guwahati, Sept 14 (IBNS): A total of 1913 horns of the total 2018 rhino horns stored in various treasuries of Assam have been examined so far, as the Rhino Verification Committee completed checking Barpeta treasury on Wednesday.

New Delhi, Sep 5 (IBNS): At the 2016 IUCN World Conservation Congress in Hawai‘i, USA, Assam-based ecologist and conservation activist Bibhuti Lakhar won the Heritage Heroes award for his dedication to the conservation of India’s Manas Wildlife Sanctuary.
