India's toy exports rose 240% in the period from 2014 to 2023, imports dipped 52%: DPIIT

New Delhi: India’s toy sector has made an impressive transformation with exports rising by a staggering 240% in the period from 2014 to 2023, coupled with a significant 52% reduction in toy imports into the country during the same period, according to DPIIT Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh.

New Delhi: the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has granted 630 licenses to MSME toy manufacturers as of 28.03.2022, Union Minister of State for Consumer Affairs Ashwini Kumar Choubey told Lok Sabha on Tuesday in a written reply.
