Would have been unethical on my part to continue as ICC chairman: Shashank Manohar

| | May 11, 2016, at 04:38 pm
Kolkata, May 11 (IBNS) Former International Cricket Council (ICC) chairman and Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president Shashnak Manohar, who resigned on Tuesday from his posts, said it would have been unethical for him to remain in the ICC after he submitted his resignation letter to the BCCI.

In an interview  to TOI, Manohar said that he decided to quit after his conscience no longer permitted him to continue.

The former boss also agreed that he was leaving BCCI at a critical juncture but maintained that he is happy with the progress the board has made under his stint.

He also revealed that the board has shortlisted people for the position of Team India's new coach, but said it is the prerogative of the new president to do so.
