Mumbai, Mar 31 (IBNS) Asked to bat first by West Indies captain Darren Sammy in an all important semi-final clash in the ICC World T20, Virat Kohli hit yet another half century as the Delhi boy made an unbeaten 89 runs off 47 balls to power his team to a 192 runs for the loss of 2 wickets here on Thursday.

Kohli hit 11 boundaries and a six in his innings.

India, who opted for Ajinkya Rahane in place of Shikhar Dhawan, had a decent opening stand of 62 runs.

After a slow start, Rohit Sharma went ballistic, bludgeoning Andre Russell for 2 sixes in an over to up the ante and bring up the 50 run partnership in the 6th over.

Sharma departed shortly, as he failed to read a straighter one from Badree and was trapped in front.

His 31-ball innings of 43 runs consisted of 3 sixes and 3 fours.

Virat Kohli, who walked in at number three, had a nervous start, but put pressure on the Windies fielders with his swift running between the wickets.

The number one ranked player in the shortest format of the game, Kohli, forged another 64-run stand with Rahane for the second wicket.

Rahane scored 40 runs off 35 balls with the help of 2 fours, but perished in the 16th over of the game while trying to slog Russell for a six, as he was caught in the deep mid-wicket boundary by Dwayne Bravo.

Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni remained unbeaten at 15 runs off 9 balls and formed a 64 runs stand with his deputy, as they ran the fielders ragged with their movements between the wickets.
