Wimbledon: Novak Djokovic loses to Sam Querrey

London, July 2 (IBNS): Serbian tennis star and world number 1 Novak Djokovic crashed out of the Wimbledon singles clash by American Sam Querrey on Saturday.

Querrey defeated the world number one by 7-6 (8-6) 6-1 3-6 7-6 (7-5) in the third round clash of the tournament.

The defeat ended Novak's hopes of a calendar-year Grand Slam.

Novak had won the title in 2014 and 2015. He was aiming to win it for the third time.
