Williamson Magor-A leading The Telegraph Cup Golf

Kolkata July 23 (IBNS): Sunny Uthup of Williamson Magor- A with a score of 74 gross and two day total of 146 gross ensured his team a lead position at the close of the second day of the JIS Group presented The Telegraph Cup Golf 2014.

Taking second place as we reached halfway of the tournament was J Thomas & Company -A with a gross of 153.

Division II also witnessed a great fight, however, it was Linde  with 164 gross taking the lead  followed by Tigia Engineer at 165 gross along with J Thomas & Co. B.

Division III was competitive with Supeertech Engineering  leading with 165 gross, five stroke behind was Andrew Yule & Company –A with a gross of 170  and third place was grabbed by Amalgamated Plantation E with  a gross of 172.

Adding much excitement to the day were the skill prizes. The  Straightest Drive was won by Vikram Jaiswal of HHI and the Closest to the Pin was won by Prawal Tulsyan representing Senbo -Orange

The Telegraph Merchants’ Cup Day’s Best:

Division 1: G Bhattacharya – MRIL –I  at 65 nett

Division 2: Rahul Sen – Amalgamated –B  at 64 nett

Division 3: Dr. P K Sharma – Amalgamated - D at 59 nett

The Telegraph  Challenge Cup:

Senbo White and Country Road are tied in first position at 146 closely followed by Cognizant Techonolgies who are at 147 and in joint third position at 148 are Omkar Construction and The Telegraph.

Ishan Bajoria with a score of 72 proved to be the best performer of The Telegraph Challenge Cup.
