Will make our voice heard in board: Modi

Mumbai, May 6 (IBNS): Expelled Indian Premier League (IPL) former chief Lalit Modi, who returned to the Indian cricket paradigm by becoming the president of the Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA), on Tuesday criticised the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI)'s decision to suspend the cricketing body from its membership and said he will make his 'voice' heard in the board.

Attacking the BCCI over the issue, Modi tweeted: "Anyone who thinks they can just suspend us and get away, and think BCCI is there personal property….wait and watch..we will not allow you.Cont…to make a mockery of the game and now we have a voice officially IN the Board and we will make ourselves Heard. wait and watch."

"BCCI is still being run by Stooges of Srini and if he thinks he can keep democratically elected people away….well i have patience," he said.

Modi said his first task would be to revive cricket in Rajasthan.

"Our First Task is to get our house in order and to revive the cricket in the state and make RCA once again the best Cricket establishment. A lot needs to be done and we will take this new challenge and show the world by implementing our vision. My Vision document will be available by tomorrow on the RCA web site," he said.

With Modi being elected the president of the RCA, the BCCI on Tuesday suspended the cricketing body from its membership.

On Jan 2, in a bid to prevent Modi's return, the BCCI had moved the Supreme Court.

The BCCI filed a petition in the apex court where it said that Modi's association with the RCA will affect the Indian cricket body's image.

The RCA election was held on Dec 19.

Modi had contested the polls.

The BCCI on Dec 28 said it will take strict disciplinary action against any delinquent member sending a warning to the state cricket body.

"It was further decided that subject to the decision of the Supreme Court, strict disciplinary action should be taken against the delinquent member while protecting the interest of the game in the state of Rajasthan," said a statement issued by Patel earlier.
