Virat Kohli nominated for Khel Ratna, Rahane for Arjuna Award

Mumbai, May 3 (IBNS) The Board of Control for Cricket In India (BCCI) has nominated Indian Test team skipper Virat Kohli and batsman Ajinkya Rahane for this year's Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award and Arjuna Award respectively, reports said.
Confirming the news, a sports ministry official was quoted by Cricbuzz as saying, "We have received the recommendations from the BCCI. Their names will be sent to the awards selection committee."

Virat had been in an ominous form in the ongoing season, plundering runs at will in all the formats.

Rahane too showed class in the recently concluded Test series against the Proteas, scoring centuries in both the innings in the Delhi Test.
