Team Atletico de Kolkata to be in the 'safe hands' of Peerless Hospital

Kolkata, Oct 10 (IBNS): Peerless Hospital & B.K. Roy Research Centre will be the official health partner of Atletico de Kolkata team for the Hero Indian Super League (ISL).

Expressing satisfaction over the association, Utsav Parekh-co-owner, Atletico de Kolkata said,"The hospital's top-of-the-line medical treatment and excellent emergency department facilities were prime reasons for choosing the trusted Peerless name, which for the last two decades has combined healthcare with personalised service."

The facilities will include one medical room manned by three doctors and one orthopedic surgeon, plus emergency,trauma specialists and four nurses for the aid  of players and officials.

The medical room will be equipped with oxygen cylinders, intravenous drips, sterile suturing kits, sterile dressings for trauma wounds and burn wounds, a wide array of medicines to treat pain, asthmatic conditions, allergic reactions, food poisoning and dehydration.

A medical room for VIPs at the VVIP manned by doctors and nurses will also be set up.

Two critical care ambulances will be ready next to the ground to transfer injured players to hospital.

The arrangement also includes initial and periodic health check-up for team players and officials at the Peerless Hospital.

To ensure  comprehensive medical plan is  implemented on a match-by-match basis, dedicated Medical Manager and Healthcare Service Coordinator will be the part of the plan.

A team doctor  will be present in hotel to provide immediate medical help to the team throughout the tour.

In addition to these six first-aid booths in the stadium, manned by two nurses and two paramedical staff in each - for the requirement and aid of the general public will be maintained with one doctor for two such booths.

Three general ambulances at the exit gates for the general public will be present.

As an additional precaution hospital's emergency numbers will be displayed in prominent positions in the stadium.

"Atletico de Kolkata's team members, we know, are in safe hands with Peerless Hospital's dedicated team of doctors and allied support staff," said Parekh.
