T20 World Cup: India set 187 as target for Australia in warm-up match; Rahul, Suryakumar shine

| @indiablooms | Oct 17, 2022, at 05:18 pm

Riding on fifties by KL Rahul and Suryakumar Yadav, Rohit Sharma-led Team India scored 186/7 in 20 overs in the warm-up match of T20 World Cup against Australia at The Gabba in Brisbane Monday.

After being sent for first batting by Australia captain Aaron Finch, India couldn't have asked for a better start as they went off to a flier courtesy Rahul's 57 off 33 balls.

Rahul touched the half-century mark in just 27 balls.

After a dull performance by India captain Rohit Sharma, star batsman Virat Kohli, in-form Suryakumar steered the innings to over 180 with his 33-ball 50.

Kane Richardson was the most successful bowler for Australia. He scalped four wickets for 30 runs in his quota of four overs.
