Spain's Carlos Alcaraz dominates over Serbia's Novak Djokovic to defend Wimbledon title

Spain's Carlos Alcaraz dominated the show and controlled the green grass court to beat Serbia's Novak Djokovic in the thrilling final to clinch the Wimbledon title on Sunday.

Repeating last year's show, despite not attaining the high-octane moments of five sets like in 2023, the Spaniard absolutely dominated the show and beat his senior opponent  6-2 6-2 7-6(4).

In his march,  Carlos Alcaraz defended his title and added the second Wimbledon title to his name.

Apart from the two Wimbledon titles, he has also won the US Open in 2022 and the French Open last month.

The defeat denied Djokovic from clinching his  25th Grand Slam title.

The Spaniard is now the sixth man in the professional era to claim the Roland Garros and Wimbledon titles in the same year.

He joined iconic  Rod Laver, Bjorn Borg, Rafa Nadal, Federer and Djokovic in achieving the title victory.
