Shami ruled out of ODI series against Sri Lanka

Mumbai, Oct 27 (IBNS): India's Pace bowler Mohammad Shami has been ruled out of the Micromax Cup India vs Sri Lanka ODI Series 2014, due to injury. BCCI Secretary Sanjay Patel told media on Monday.

Shami will miss out on the first three matches of the five-match series which start from November 2.

Senior Selection Committee has named Dhawal Kulkarni as Shami's replacement in the Indian team for the first 3 ODIs of the upcoming series.

Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been given rest for the series. Virat Kohli will lead the team against the Lankans.
