Former Indian cricketer Vinod Kambli, who was hospitalized after his health deteriorated, said his childhood friend and ex-teammate Sachin Tendulkar's blessings have always been with him.

"I am thankful to Sachin Tendulkar as his blessings have always been with me," Kambli told ANI.

Kambli has been suffering from health issues for several months now.

He said he is feeling much 'better' now.

He was reportedly admitted to a hospital by a fan.

According to reports, a medical examination showed clots had formed in his brain.

Recently, Sachin and Kambli attended an event to mark the inauguration of coach Ramakant Achrekar's memorial at the Shivaji Park in Mumbai.

In his career, Kambli played 17 Tests and 104 ODIs for India between 1993-2000.
