RR halt CSK's steady IPL run in Jaipur

Jaipur/IBNS: Rajasthan Royals (RR) on Thursday halted Chennai Super Kings (CSK)'s steady run in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 defeating the yellow brigade comprehensively by 32 runs here.

Batting first, RR scored 202/5 in 20 overs, courtesy Yashasvi Jaiswal's 77 off 43 balls.

Dhruv Jurel (34 off 15 balls) and Devdutt Padikkal (unbeaten 27 off 13 balls) fired towards the end to help the hosts cross the 200-mark.

Defending the score, RR picked CSK wickets at regular intervals restricting the yellow brigade to 170/6 in 20 overs.

Shivam Dube (52 off 33 balls) Ruturaj Gaikwad (47 off 29 balls) were the only batters who looked impressive at night.

Securing the win, RR moved to the top of the IPL standings with 10 points.
