Rohit Kumar seizes lead at Tata IGU

Jamshedpur, Apr 15 (IBNS): Local lad Rohit Kumar seized a one-shot lead at the end of the opening round of the first leg of the Tata Steel IGU East Zone Tour being played at the Beldih Golf Club here on Tuesday.

Rohit shot a 9-over 81 to emerge as the leader in the top category (A&B). Hassan Rahman Khandokar playing in Category B was second overall.

 
Jashan Shah was third at 83 while Bibek Sardar was fourth at 85. Bishwam Ghosh was placed fifth at 86 while Rohil Chokhany was sixth at 87. Sharif Khan of Jamshedpur who topped Category B with a score of 90 was seventh overall.

Sandeep Kumar Yadav bagged the honours in Category C when he grabbed a seven-stroke lead over Rajib Ali. 

Sandeep signed a scorecard of 84 while Abhikanks Basu was third at 99. 

Kushal Bagrodia was leading in Category D with a total of 91 while Vanika Badshah and Sara Muthedath topped in Girls B and C divisions with totals of 92 and 110 respectively. 

Local lass Tanisha led in the Category E which was played over nine holes.
