London, June 21 (IBNS) Swiss Tennis star Roger Federer defeated Italy's Andreas Seppi to clinch the Gerry Weber Open on Sunday.

Federer defeated his opponent 7-6 (7-1), 6-4.

This was the eighth time Federer won the title.

“It’s the first time I’ve won a tournament eight times – and overall, at one of my favourite tournaments. It was a really good match. My serve saved me a couple of times in the first set. To win here is always special”,Federer was quoted as saying by .gerryweber-open.de.
