London/IBNS: In a matter of concern for skipper Virat Kohli, Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant has tested positive for COVID-19 in England, media reports said.

The young wicketkeeper-batsman is in home isolation at his relative's place and will join the national team in Durham later.

The players and support staff, who came in contact with the coronavirus positive teammate, have been asked to isolate themselves.

This comes amid sweeping cases of coronavirus being registered in the England camp ahead of the team's limited overs home series against Pakistan.

The UK is witnessing a rise in COVID-19 cases over the past few weeks with the lifting of restrictions.
