PV Sindhu loses to Carolina Marin in Swiss Open final
Basel/UNI: India's PV Sindhu lost to Spain's Carolina Marin in the straight games in the final of Swiss Open Super 300 Tournament, here on Sunday.
The Rio Olympic gold-medallist Marin thrashed reigning world champion Sindhu 12-21 5-21 in the women's singles final in just 35 minutes.
The second-seeded Sindhu entered the final after defeating the fourth-seeded Denmark's Mia Blichfeldt 22-20, 21-10 in the semi-final which lasted 43 minutes.
