Pune beat Delhi via D/L method

Visakhapatnam, May 17 (IBNS): In a rain-hit IPL match, Rising Pune Supergiants defeated Delhi Daredevils by 19 runs via D/L method here on Tuesday.

Pune bowlers bowled tight as they restricted Delhi to 121 for six in 20 overs. With rain interrupting the match, the clash was called off  by midnight.

Standing at 76 runs for the loss of a wicket, Pune won the match as the target was revised at 58 runs as per D/L method.

Ajinkya Rahane batted brilliantly and gave Pune a wonderful start at the beginning with his unbeaten 42 runs.
He hit five boundaries and a six in his 36-ball knock.

Pune lost the wicket of Usman Khawaja (19) to Chris Morris.

Earlier, Ashok Dinda and Adam Zampa  picked up three wickets each to help Pune restrict Delhi at 121 runs for the loss of six wickets.

Morris smashed 20-ball 38 while

Karun Nair contributed 41 runs to be the top scorers for the side.

Pune moved up to the seventh spot with the win.
