Pakistan Cricket Board names Muhammad Rizwan as T20 team's vice captain

The Pakistan Cricket Board on Monday named Muhammad Rizwan as T20 team's vice-captain.

Announcing on X, the board said: "@iMRizwanPakhas been appointed vice-captain of Pakistan's T20I team."

He will replace Shadab Khan.

He will be the deputy of left-arm pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi.

Afridi was named the skipper of the shortest format of the game after Babar Azam's exit as the captain of the team in all three formats of the game.

Babar stepped down from Pakistan cricket team's top post after his side's poor display in the World Cup 2023.
