Not interested in becoming BCCI president: Modi

| | Aug 29, 2014, at 04:06 am
London, Aug 28 (IBNS): Former Indian Premier League (IPL) commissioner and cricket administrator Lalit Modi on Thursday said he does not have any interest of becoming the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president.

"Do I want to be the BCCI president under the current cloud? Out of the question," Modi told NDTV.

He also tweeted: "Replied to @ndtv not interested in being BCCI President Rather find out how deep the rot is. Let #MudgalCommission come out with truth first."

In a significant judgement, the  division bench of the Delhi High Court  on Wednesday set aside all orders against Modi  and restored his passport.

The move will  pave the way for  Modi’s return to India.

Though banned by the  Board of Control for Cricket in India , Modi was earlier elected as the president of the Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA).

The BCCI had suspended RCA after Modi was elected as its president.
