Mohit Sharma out , India loses ninth wicket at 232/9 in 44.5 overs

Sydney, Mar 26(IBNS) India came close to a big defeat when they lost the ninth wicket at 232 as Mohit Sharma and Ravichandran Ashwin went back to the pavilion in two successive deliveries in the 46 over of their ICC World Cup semi-final match against Austraila here on Thursday.

After Dhoni,  scored 65 from as many balls  was run out by Glenn Maxwell, Sharma (0) and Ashwin(5) fell in the fourth and fifth deliveries of James Faulkner in the 46 over.


Earlier, Shikhar Dhawan(45), Virat Kohli (1), Rohit Sharma(7), Suresh Raina, Azinkya Rahane(44) and Ravindra Jadeja (16)  were out.

Australia posted 328 runs fore the loss seven wickets in 50 overs.
