Manan Chandra-Piyush Bhagat duo wins Pro-Am Snooker tourney

Kolkata, Jan 8 (IBNS): The Space Group team consisting of Manan Chandra and Piyush Bhagat defeated Watertite’s Yasin Merchant and Rajesh Tulsian 3-1 to win the 4th Kolkata National Invitation Pro-Am Snooker Championship 2016 at the Bengal Rowing Club on Friday.

Playing alternate shots, Manan Chandra and Piyush Bhagat won the first two frames 73-66, 62-49. The third frame saw Yasin and Rajesh bounce back to win the third frame 56-67. With Watertite down to 2-1, Yasin and Rajesh tried to turn the table in their favour but Manan Chandra and Piyush Bhagat dominated the frame to win 63-24.

“It was quite a high-quality match and a great win at the end of the day,” Manan said after the match.
