Mumbai/Ahmedabad/IBNS: Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR)'s new batting sensation Rinku Singh has responded to the franchise co-owner and Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's congratulatory message for the southpaw who powered his team to a miraculous win in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 on Sunday.

Shah Rukh borrowed the line from 'Jhoome Jo Pathaan' song of his last release Pathaan to wish Rinku for his heroics.

The actor tweeted, "JHOOME JO RINKUUUUU !!! My baby @rinkusingh235 And @NitishRana_27 & @venkateshiyer you beauties!!! And remember Believe that’s all. Congratulations @KKRiders and @VenkyMysore take care of your heart sir!"

In his response, Rinku tweeted, "Shah Rukh sir yaaar. Love you sir & thank you for your constant support."

After Rashid Khan's hattrick of wickets, KKR were in deep trouble in the run-chase against Gujarat Titans (GT) who had 29 runs in the last over to defend.

When most people had lost hope in KKR, Rinku slammed five consecutive sixes in the last over to snatch the win from GT's grip.

The southpaw's unbeaten 48 off 21 balls helped KKR score 207/7 in reply to GT's 204/4.
