Leander Paes chosen to partner Bopanna in Rio Olympics tennis men's doubles

New Delhi, Jun 11 (IBNS) The All India Tennis Association (AITA), on Saturday, chose veteran Leander Paes to partner Rohan Bopanna in the men's doubles tennis tournament at the Rio Olympics, according to media reports.
Paes, who has 18 Grand Slam titles to his credit, will be playing for a record seventh time in the Olympics.
 
On Friday, it was reported that in his communication to the AITA, Bopanna had stated that Saketh Myneni was his choice of partner for the men's doubles tournament in the  Rio Olympics.
 
Bopanna got a direct ticket to the Rio Games by virtue of his top 10 ATP ranking.
 
Sania Mirza and Rohan Bopanna will team up for the mixed doubles, declared AITA.
 
For the women's doubles, Sania wil be joined by Prarthana Thombare.
