Lake Club, Bengal Rowing Club, Madras Boat Club share glory on third day of 80th ARAE-FEARA Regatta

Kolkata/IBNS: Bengal Rowing Club (BRC), Madras Boat Club (MBC) and hosts Lake Club (LC) shared the glory each picking up two titles in the open section on the third day of the 80th ARAE-FEARA Regatta championship held at Rabindra Sarobar lake in Kolkata on Thursday.

Lake club won the gold, winning the single scull events for men and women through Prateek Gupta and Sweta Bramhachari who beat Soumava Sen of Calcutta Rowing Club (CRC) and Drikppriya Paul of BRC .

Bengal Rowing Club, after bagging the title in Women Pairs by Simran Sharma and Niharaika Saraf, earned the top position in Men Fours, one of the most prestigious event of the meet where the team represented by Chitrang Valecha, Sumit Saha, Abhishek Jaisswal and Sanglap Bose beat their rivals from MBC after a tough fight.

Madras Boat Club, however, did not disappoint their supporters as their duo of A B Vimlan and I Idikash won the title in Men Pairs defeating Lake Club duo in the final.

MBC also won the gold in double scull event for men beating CRC.
