Mumbai/IBNS: Jos Buttler's third century in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) helped Rajasthan Royals to overpower Delhi Capitals by 15 runs here on Friday.

Batting first, Rajasthan scored mammoth 222/2 in 20 overs, courtesy Buttler's 116 off 65 balls.

Buttler scored the runs with the help of nine fours and nine sixes.

Devdutt Padikkal and skipper Sanju Samson too contributed significantly with their respective 54 and unbeaten 46 off 19 balls.

Chasing the target, Delhi started off convincingly with David Warner (28 off 14 balls) and Prithvi Shaw (37 off 27) going after the bowlers.

After losing wickets in the middle overs, skipper Rishabh Pant took charge of the run chase until he was sent back to the dugout by Prasidh Krishna for 44 off 24 balls.

The match turned interesting in the last over when Rovman Powell, who scored 36 off 15 balls, slammed three sixes but he needed to do more.

Delhi ended up scoring 207/8 in 20 overs.
