India's young batsman Ishan Kishan wrote his name in history books on Saturday when he smashed 210 runs in the third ODI against Bangladesh and in the process smashed West Indies legend Chris Gayle's record.

Kishan joined the Indian squad in place of injured Rohit Sharma.

He even went ahead to open the batting in place of Sharma.

Kishan smashed 24 boundaries and 10 sixes in his scintillating knock.

He shattered the record set by Gayle for hitting the fastest ODI century.

Gayle had faced 138 balls to reach the double ton in theWorld Cup clash against Zimbabwe in 2015.

Kishan reached the 200-run mark by playing 126 balls.

He had smashed his century by facing just 85 balls.

Kishan is now the fourth Indian batsman to smash double century.

Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag and Rohit Sharma are the other Indians to achieve it.
