IPL 2023: Delhi Capitals pull off 7-run stunning win over Sunrisers Hyderabad

Hyderabad/IBNS: Delhi Capitals pulled off a stunning seven-wicket win over Sunrisers Hyderabad to record their second win in the Indian Premier League 2023 here on Monday.

In quite a shock to the franchise, SRH failed to chase down 145, a mere target set by the visitors.

For most part of the run chase, DC bowlers dominated picking wickets at regular intervals until Heinrich Klaasen (31 off 19 balls) fired late in vain.

Prior to Klaasen, Mayank Agarwal (49 off 39 balls) kept the hosts in the hunt but his dismissal brought DC back in the game.

After Klaasen was dismissed, Washington Sundar (24 not out off 15 balls), who tried to earn a victory for his team, failed to take the hosts home as SRH finished their innings at 137/6 in 20 overs.

DC's batting was as usual dismal on Monday with the visitors crawling to 144/9 in 20 overs.

Among the major contributors were Manish Pandey (34 off 27 balls) and Axar Patel (34 off 34 balls).
