IPL 2023: DC taste first win beating KKR by 4 wickets in low-scoring contest

New Delhi/IBNS: Delhi Capitals registered their maiden win in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 defeating Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by four wickets in a low-scoring contest here on Thursday.

KKR, whose batters showed much dominance in the last few matches irrespective of final results, suffered a batting collapse against the DC bowlers.

Riding on Jason Roy's 43 off 39 balls and Andre Russell's late firing (unbeaten 38 off 31 balls), KKR crawled to 127 losing all wickets in 20 overs.

The task which seemed easier for DC looked challenging at one point, thanks to KKR bowlers.

Skipper David Warner led DC from the front scoring 57 off 41 balls but regular fall of wickets in the middle overs halted the flow of runs for the hosts.

Despite a tough fight offered by KKR bowlers, DC managed to reach home scoring the required run with four balls to spare.
