India Vs Bangladesh 1st test: Second day's play called off

| | Jun 11, 2015, at 09:04 pm
Dhaka, June 11 (IBNS): The second day of the one-off test between Bangladesh and India in Fatullah has been called off without a single ball bowled due to heavy rain.

Earlier in the day the start of play was delayed due to heavy rainfall. Umpires inspected the field after the rain turned into drizzle. But water logging over the covers and persistent heavy rain made it impossible for play to resume on Thursday.

Fatullah is said to have a very good drainage system but continuous shower and heavy lightening over the last few hours made it miserable for the ground staffs to resume play.

The visitors had a fruitful Day 1 on which the Indian team scored 239/0 with Sikhar Dhawan on 150* and Murali Vijay on 89* on the
crease.
