India strikes gold! Women's Archery team beats China in Asian Games final, matches world record
India's women's compound archery team produced a dominant performance to defeat China 238-234 in the final and win the gold medal at the Asian Games on Wednesday.
The Indian trio of Jyothi Surekha Vennam, Chikitha Taniparthi and Prithika Pradeep led from the first rotation and maintained their advantage throughout the final to secure the top spot on the podium.

India's winning score of 238 also matched the world record set by South Korea in 2014.

The gold marked India's seventh Asian Games title in the event.
Earlier, India defeated South Korea 235-233 in a closely fought semifinal to book their place in the final.
With the gold, India's overall medal tally rose to 53, including 21 silver and 25 bronze medals.
