India in semis : beat Bangladesh by 109 runs

Melbourne, Mar 19 (IBNS) India cruised to the last four stage of ICC Word Cup on when they crushed Bangladesh by 109 runs in the second quarter final match here on Thursday.
Powered by a magnificent 137 by opener Rohit Sharma and his 122-run partnership in the fourth wicket with Suresh Raina (65) , India scored 302 for six wickets in the stipulated 50 overs overcoming the initial setback.
 
Bangladesh pacer Taskin Ahmed, who ended Rohit Shama's innings with a beautiful delivery, claimed three Indian wickets.
 
In reply, Bangladesh were all out for 193 runs with five more overs to spare as none of their batsmen could stop the slide with wickets falling at regular intervals. 
 
Umesh Yadav was the most successful Indian bowler having bagged four wickets for 31 runs.Other other pacemen  Mohit Sharma and Mohammad Shami claimed one and two wickets respectively while Ravindra Jadeja got two.
 
 Earlier, coming to bat for India, Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli and Azinkya Rahane were out when the team's total was at 115 off 28 overs.Till then Bangladesh bowlers were giving out a spirited performance and fielders doing a commendable job giving a scare to India.
 
But Sharma, who played 126 balls to hit three over boundaries and 14 boundaries, gave scant respect to the opponent bowlers and went on plundering runs along with Suresh Raina to take the team to a comfort zone.
