Thiruvananthapuram: India recorded a stunning 317-run victory in Thiruvananthapuram in the third and final ODI against Sri Lanka on Sunday to complete a 3-0 series victory.

After threatening the 400-run mark for the second time in the series, India produced a stirring bowling display to end Sri Lanka's innings at 73 runs.

One batsman down after Ashen Bandara's injury, Sri Lanka succumbed to a record-breaking 317-run loss in the final ODI.

This is the highest margin of victory in any men's ODI and the first time any team has won a men's ODI by over 300 runs.

The record in women's ODIs is a 408-run win by New Zealand over Pakistan in 1997.
