India book WTC final ticket against Australia after New Zealand deny Sri Lanka win

| @indiablooms | Mar 13, 2023, at 06:31 pm

India are through to the World Test Championship final after New Zealand pulled off a stunning two-wicket victory over Sri Lanka in the first Test in Christchurch on Monday.

India will face Australia in the final which will be held in June.

Sri Lanka missed the bus to the final after they failed to trounce New Zealand in the first of the two Tests.

Sri Lanka had to clean-sweep the series against the Kiwis to enter the WTC final.

This is the second consecutive year where India will be playing the final.

In 2021, the Virat Kohli-led India were denied the final victory by the other finalist New Zealand.
