India beat South Korea 2-1

London, June 14 (IBNS): In a crucial encounter of the Champions Trophy hockey tournament , India defeated South Korea by 2-1 here on Tuesday.

SV Sunil’s 39th minute goal gave India early lead.

In the 57th minute, South Korea scored the equalizer  to make it 1-1.

Nikkin Thimmaiah scored another for India to clincch the match 2-1.

India suffered their first loss of the tournament at the Champions Trophy, as Belgium edged them out 2-1 in their pool encounter.
