ICC seeking India-based E-Commerce or Mobile Wallet partners for World T20 in 2016

Dubai, Jan 5 (IBNS) The International Cricket Council (ICC) Tuesday announced that it is seeking an E-Commerce or Mobile Wallet Company within India to become a Global Partner for the ICC World Twenty20 in India in March / April 2016.

Interested parties are invited to bid for the exclusive Global Partner position for this year’s event, which offers significant rights and benefits reflective of this top tier sponsorship.

 The tournament starts on 8 March and finishes with the final in Kolkata on 3 April combining both the men’s and women’s competitions. There will be a total of 16 teams participating, and 58 matches – 35 men’s and 23 women’s – played at eight different venues across the country.

 This will be the first time that the ICC World Twenty20 has been staged in India, and the event is predicted to generate a cumulative worldwide TV audience of approximately 1.5 billion people. Star Sports will broadcast every match of the tournament live across India and the sub-continent.

 ICC asked all interested companies to submit, by email to wt20gptender@icc-cricket.com  the following:

 -       full corporate legal name and registered address; and

-       other relevant contact information,

as soon as possible and in any event by no later than 1200 (Dubai time) on 21 January 2016

 
On receipt of the above by the ICC, interested parties will receive a confidentiality agreement for countersignature and return, together with further instructions, before being issued with any of the tender documents.

 The ICC will begin issuing the tender documents from 7 January 2016 and submissions will be due on 28 January 2016.
