ICC kick-starts meeting in Dubai

Dubai, Nov 5 (IBNS): International Cricket Council (ICC) has kick-started its series of meetings at operational headquarters in Dubai from Wednesday. The meeting will continue to next week.

ICC Board will gather at the ICC headquarters in Dubai on 9 and 10 November for the last round of meetings of the year. In the lead up to these meetings, various other committee meetings, including the ICC Chief Executives’ Committee (CEC) meeting, will take place.

The following is the schedule of the meetings:

-               Women’s Committee (Wed)

-               Chief Executives’ Committee (Thurs)

-               Audit Committee and Development Committee (Fri)

-               Finance & Commercial Affairs Committee and Governance Review Committee (Sat)

-               Executive Committee and ICC Board (Sun)

-               IBC/IDI Board (Mon)


Some of the key issues likely to be discussed over the next few days include:

·       outcomes from the ICC CEC on matters relating to the FTP, playing conditions for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 and suspected illegal bowling actions;

·       recommendations from the Executive Committee, including in respect of a revised ICC Anti-Corruption Code, a revised ICC Anti-Doping Code and an update on the recent work of the Integrity Working Party;

·       an update on ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 and matters arising from the West Indies cancelled tour of India.

The ICC Board consists of the nominated representatives of each of the 10 Full Members plus three elected Associate Member representatives. The meeting is chaired by Mr Narayanaswami Srinivasan. Also present are the ICC Chief Executive and the ICC Vice-President.
