Manchester, May 15 (IBNS): Interim player-manager of Manchester United Ryan Giggs is likely to take up the number 2 position at the club after being offered the role by current manager of the Dutch national team Louis van Gaal.

United might announce the name of Gaal as the new manager of the club, succeeding David Moyes.

"Ryan Giggs is set to accept the No2 position at Manchester United after being offered the role by Louis van Gaal following discussions at the Dutchman's house in his home town, Noordwijk," The Guardian reported.

Manchester United sacked manager David Moyes last month.
