Ghosh announces 18-member squad for opening match

New Delhi, May 15 (IBNS): AIFF Kalyani Regional Academy Head Coach Goutam Ghosh has announced his squad of 18 which would be travelling to Kuala Lumpur to begin their campaign in the Asian Champions Trophy.

The AIFF colts take on Frenz United, Malaysia A, in their first match on May 17.

The boys, who were part of the AFC U-16 Qualifiers in Kuwait in September 2013 have been clubbed in Group A along with Frenz United Indonesia; PVF FA Vietnam, Timor Leste U-16 National Team and Home United SC Singapore apart from Frenz United Malaysia A.

Squad:

Goalkeepers: Dheeraj Singh (Manipur), Subrata Das (West Bengal)

Defenders: Jayananda Singh (Manipur), Jerry Lalrinzuala (Mizoram), T Kishan Singh (Manipur), Prosenjit Chakraborty (West Bengal – may also play as a Midfielder), Amit Tudu (West Bengal), Amey Ranawade (Maharashtra)

Midfielders: Bodo Baoringdao (Assam), Kyntiew Kharlukhi (Meghalaya), Anirudh Thapa (Uttarakhand), Deependra Singh Negi (Uttarakhand), Aaron Franklin (Goa).

Forwards: Nijwm Muchahary (Assam) Krishna Pandit (Chandigarh), Nuruddin Sameer (Uttar Pradesh), Kapil Hoble (Goa), Laishram Bedashwor Singh (Manipur).
