French Open: Maria moves to 2nd round

Paris, May 26 (IBNS): Russian tennis icon Maria Sharapova defeated compatriot Ksenia Pervak to move to the second round of the French Open here on Monday.

In the rain-hit second day, Maria defeated her opponent   6-1 6-2.

" Rain or shine, loved being back on Chartier. #RolandGarros #sunshineplease," Sharapova tweeted.
