Fourth Test: India 24/1 at stumps on day 1 in reply to England's 205

Ahmedabad/IBNS: India scored 24/1 at stumps on day one of the fourth Test against England at Narendra Modi Stadium here Thursday.

Rohit Sharma and Cheteshwar Pujara are not out at eight and 15 respectively.

The only wicket lost by India was in the form of Shubman Gill who went to the change room without scoring.

The wicket was picked by premier English pace bowler James Anderson.

Earlier, England crumbled down to just 205 tackling the Indian spin bowling.

Ben Stokes was the top scorer with his 55 off 121 balls. 

Daniel Lawrence scored 46 off 74 balls lower down the order.

Axar Patel and Ravichandran Ashwin, the spin duo, scalped four and three wickets respectively, leaving the rest for Mohammad Siraj and Washington Sundar.
