Mumbai/IBNS: Skipper Faf du Plessis' 96 and a four-wicket haul by Josh Hazlewood helped Royal Challengers Bangalore to defeat KL Rahul's Lucknow Super Giants in the Indian Premier League (IPL) here on Tuesday.

Batting first, Bangalore got off to a poor start losing Anuj Rawat for four and Virat Kohli first-ball duck.

Faf then took charge of the batting, stitching small partnerships at various levels of the match.
