Eyes on final, Italy to take on Spain in Euro Cup 2020

London/IBNS: Italy and Spain will take on each other in the first semi final of the Euro Cup 2020 at Wembley Stadium here on Tuesday.

The team which would come out superior in the knockout match will go to finals where either England or Denmark would be waiting for them.

While Italy stormed into the semis outplaying Belgium, Spain reached the penultimate stage of the tournament surviving the Switzerland scare.

As per history, Italy have won Euro Cup only once and that is way back in 1968 while Spain are looking to win their third Euro title in four events.

Due to quarantine rules, supporters of either of the teams won't be able to make it to the gallery in Wembley, where the other semi final and final will also be played.

Speaking on this, Italy football manager Roberto Mancini said as quoted by BBC, "It is unfair that there are no fans from Italy and Spain," and added, "But it is better to play in front of the public than in front of a few people - that is the beauty of sport."

Spain manager Luis Enrique hopes Italians and Spanish living in the United Kingdom would be present in the stadium to watch the match live.

As per Indian Standard Time (IST), the match will begin at 12:30 am on Jul 7.
